History and Meaning

Sometime after the attacks in Benghazi on 9-11-2012 Kris and members of the team decided to bring the truth of the events from that 13-hour battle to light for the American people, Kris was in an airport between trips to events and designed this logo. It was important to him that the logo have meaning and tell a story. This is that story…

The Unsheathed Sword: The sword is unsheathed and ready for battle at all times. It is inspired by Ezekiel 21:5 My Sword is in My hand and will not return to its sheath until its work is finished. It goes along with Kris’s “Never Quit” and "Forge Ahead" approach to life.

The Lion: It is a symbol of a courageous leader and protector. It also symbolizes authority and power. This is the authority and power God has given us over our own lives when He surrendered His power over our free will.

The Knights of Templar Shield: The shield symbolizes faith and being prepared to ward off attacks from enemies. Ephesians 6:16: Above all, carry the shield of faith so that you can extinguish the flaming arrows of the evil one. It goes along with Kris’s “Always do the right thing and you will be protected” faith in God’s promises to us all.

The “13” displayed on the shield: The “13” symbolizes the remembrance of the historical events of Benghazi 2012. It is a reverent reminder of the four lives that were lost in Benghazi 2012. When we tell the true and historical story of Benghazi 2012, it is to remember the individual stories and lives of our four brothers lost in those 13 Hours. We will always tell the story and read the names of Ambassador Chris Stevens, Information Officer Sean Smith, Former Navy SEALs Glen Doherty, and Tyrone Woods.

Cross of the Knights of Templar: The cross symbolizes the Christian Faith and the sacrifice the Son of God Jesus made when He gave his life for the sins of all throughout history.

The Ranger Scroll: The Ranger Scroll represents not only Kris’s service in the Army Rangers 2nd Battalion 75th Ranger Regiment, but all the Rangers who lead the way and continue to train, fight, and sacrifice for their country. It is “Battle Worn” to symbolize the historical wars, battles, and missions of this elite group. The color red symbolizes the blood of the patriot’s who gave their lives to protect the lives and freedoms of others. The placement of the scroll was for design looks only and has no hidden meaning.

John 15:13 Bible Verse: “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends” is the Biblical motto that Kris and many other Christians from all walks of life live by. It is not just inspirational words; it is a commitment to a way of life!
